The project

Overview & challenge.

Overview

Dutch Dragons combines a podcast with a network of investors. Three experienced entrepreneurs interview leading Dutch founders, and listeners can co-invest in selected companies. The site is in Dutch and serves two very different audiences.

The challenge

Entrepreneurs want to pitch; investors want to see opportunities and proof. The homepage had to serve both without diluting either message — and keep the current investment opportunity front and centre.

Strategy

How I approached it.

  1. 01

Make the live opportunity the hero: “Wij investeren €1 miljoen in Future Fulfilment! En jij kunt mee-investeren.”

  2. 02

Use two clear, persistent actions in the header: “Investeer mee” (invest) and “Pitch je bedrijf” (pitch your company).

  3. 03

Explain the model in a short “Hoe het werkt” (how it works) section.

  4. 04

Use a previous success story (Aquablu) and listener reviews as proof.

  5. 05

Bring the podcast in as the trust-building top of the funnel.

UX / Structure

The page, section by section.

  1. 1Current investment hero with partner logos
  2. 2podcast introduction
  3. 3how it works
  4. 4origin story and track record
  5. 5podcast episodes
  6. 6listener reviews
  7. 7investor sign-up.

Design & build

How it looks and works.

Visual design

An editorial serif headline, soft purple-to-orange gradients from the brand, and portrait photography of the Dragons and featured founders.

Development · WordPress · Elementor

Built in WordPress with Elementor, with forms for investors and entrepreneurs and a blog for opportunities and episodes.
